DANCE SCHOOL MEMBERSHIP RULES

  1. Fees are payable for all classes whether the dancer is present or not. If a dancer is to be absent from class, the dance school should be notified as soon as possible.
  2. Participation in BATD examinations, dance displays, showcases and competitions will be at the discretion of the principal teacher. 90% attendance each term is the expected attendance rate for participation in these events unless there are special circumstances to be considered.
  3. Class uniform must be worn at all each class.
  4. No jewellery should be worn in any class. Ear piercings should be covered if they cannot be removed.
  5. Dancers should not eat during class and only water is permitted for consumption during class.
  6. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to ensure any missed class work is caught up and learned by the dancer. Private tuition is available if required, subject to an additional fee.
  7. All dancers are expected to behave in an appropriate manner towards each other, the coaches, the parents and anyone they come across in the course of their connection with the dance school. Anyone found to be behaving in an aggressive or derogatory manner towards another dancer, coach or parent will be asked to leave the dance school with immediate effect.
  8. In order for the school to function effectively, personal data will be held in respect of all dancers, including home addresses, email addresses, dates of birth, medical information and emergency contact details. These details will be held securely in line with GDPR and will not be disclosed to anyone unless required by law. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian of the dancer to ensure that the school has up to date and accurate contact information.
  9. Any dance items ordered must be paid for at the time of ordering.
  10. Photographs or videos may be taken from time to time for promotional purposes and by signing your child up for class(es), you agree to your child being included unless you have expressly requested they are excluded. Any photographs or videos uploaded to our social media will be carefully monitored to ensure the safety of all children.
